Bhuvana, a Bharatanatyam artiste with over 22 years of experience and over 1200 stage performances to her credit. She began her dance journey at the age of five, training under Guru Lakshmi N. Murthy and later under Guru Kalayogi K. P. Satish Babu. Her performances have graced prestigious stages including the "Mysuru Dasara, Mysuru" and the "Republic Day Parade, New Delhi" (2022).
Alongside her artistic pursuits, Bhuvana earned an engineering degree in 2020, worked as a software developer, and then went on to complete her Masters in Performing Arts (Bharatanatyam) from Jain University in 2023. She has also co-created and choreographed the critically acclaimed dance production "Avismaraniya Ninada (2023)".
A passionate researcher, she explored the “Study of the Pañcakanyā-s - A Dancer’s Perspective” (2022), showcasing her keen interest in the academic and philosophical dimensions of Bharatanatyam.
With over ten years of teaching experience, Bhuvana has trained many students to excellence, first as an assistant teacher under her Guru Kalayogi K. P. Satish Babu, and through Dhātrī Kalāmandira. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and ability to make even the most intricate aspects of Bharatanatyam accessible, she nurtures students ranging from the age of five to fifty guiding them with patience, discipline, and care.
Her vision for the institution is to create a nurturing environment where classical arts are not only preserved but also made accessible and meaningful to students, audiences, and the wider community.
